About the Game

In 1993, a teenage coder discovered Minesweeper on PC/Windows 3.11 — and since there was no equivalent for Amiga, he wrote his own in AMOS. Three decades later, the source code was rediscovered and, after some necessary fixes to make it run, Sapermania was released for the world to enjoy.

Don't expect a polished production — but do expect a charming slice of retro history and a fully functional Minesweeper experience on Amiga OCS. For a more complete Amiga Minesweeper experience, also check out the sequel: Master of Minefields.

Background

The source code found was not complete, so some additional code was needed to make the game functional. However, the core game logic has not been changed — this is as authentic as it gets: a Minesweeper clone coded by a teenager in 1993.
